Our capital city, Ljubljana, is one of 100 model cities aiming to achieve the goal of climate neutrality by 2030.

Tourist guides and other workers in tourism are aware of the important role we play in spreading information and raising awareness among our guests. Members of the Argos association – Janez, Mateja, Tjaša, Nives, and Urša – we were successful in this year’s call from the MOL (we participated for the first time last year).

On Tuesday, we first held a workshop and then a guided tour at the Misija 100 venue on the theme of an environment- and human-friendly capital city.

Thank you to everyone for participating, for caring about Ljubljana, and for caring about Slovenia. We discovered that as individuals – we have a strong influence on those around us, and on our guests.

As promoters of our destination, we are already well acquainted with the green commitments and use them diligently in our everyday work.

A heartfelt thank you to UČILNA OKUSOV and Mr. Peter Sikošek, who actively participated in the workshop and then hosted us under Plečnik’s arcades, where the Trgovina pri zmaju is located. Their store is part of the High School for Rural Management Grm Novo mesto and is dedicated to educating and training students and all interested parties. You can find local produce and products typical of various regions of our countryside there.

At the end of the working day, tourist guides Mateja and Janez took a walk around Ljubljana. Unfortunately, the water level of the Ljubljanica was too high for boating, but we still gave the river much attention. From the center to green, once-degraded areas in just a few minutes. This, too, is Ljubljana.

We will continue to offer guided tours on the theme of a human- and environment-friendly capital city throughout the season, and we invite all interested parties to contact us at info@localguide.com or leave a comment below.
