About me

My name is Lucija Zavrtanik, and I represent the sixth generation of a family that has lived in close connection with the land and the stories of Kromberk for centuries.

My passion for my local area led me to document 95 traditional house and field names, preserving the history of local inhabitants. In addition to this, I am a winemaker and vineyard grower, carefully tending our family vineyard with respect for tradition.

As a regional tourist guide, I introduce visitors to Kromberk and Nova Gorica through stories, history, and personal anecdotes. I believe that every place reveals its true beauty when experienced through the authentic stories of its people.

At our family farm Pri Cesarju – vina Cesjar, we are dedicated to winemaking. Our wines, the pride of our cellar, have been awarded two gold medals. Each bottle reflects dedicated work in the vineyard, respect for nature, and the rich winemaking tradition of the Vipava Valley.

Together with my husband, we also rent out a holiday house Podgozd on the Trnovo Plateau, where we welcome guests surrounded by unspoiled nature. The greatest reward for us is seeing happy and satisfied visitors who leave not only with beautiful memories, but also with a sense of warmth and belonging.

My work is my way of life – connecting people, nature, wine, and heritage into an authentic experience of the Goriška region.
