Slovenian national heritage is very rich and one of its unique representatives is a hayrack- KOZOLEC. Whichever tour you are going to do in our central part of Slovenia, you will very soon notice a unique wooden, free standing, vertical, open and roofed architecture. Between (mainly wooden, however they can be made of concrete as well) vertical polls there are horizontal beams. On those beams farmers dried grain, hay, corn…. later stored fodder.
Some of the KOZOLEC are single, the others double – TOPLAR (from German word DOPPLER).
No matter you are discovering Slovenia on your own or you are joining us on one of our half day or full day private tour we ensure you, you will enjoy the skills of our ancestors.
